Welcome!

Mass with Father Orr

Thursday, May 21 at 10 AM The Ascension of the Lord

Welcome to Holy Spirit Parish!
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you!

The Lock Haven Catholic community is made up of two local churches, St. Agnes and Immaculate Conception.

Parishioners of Holy Spirit Parish

May God be with you during this trying time.

The uncertainty that the world is experiencing has changed our lives so much. There are no events to run to, shopping trips to go on, or for many of us, even jobs left to do. As a result of social distancing and the need to keep one another safe, we are not able to participate in the most beloved Mass. The longing for the presence of Jesus on the Altar calls to us. Hopefully, we can use this time to recognize the importance of this most Blessed Sacrament in our lives and stand in solidarity with those Catholics, who because of oppression or location, did not have access to the Sacraments on a regular basis even before the global pandemic began.  Until then, let us pray for an end to the virus and a time when we can joyfully return to the sacraments and one another.

During this time Holy Spirit Parish can come together even though we are apart by saying one Our Father together every day at 12 Noon. We can pray that our beloved God may take us into his loving arms and comfort us during this trying time. During this time of contemplation let us pray for each other. Pray for each other because that is one thing that no matter the uncertainty we can offer up. We will be praying for each and every one of you.

On April 1st Bishop Bartchak issued a directive to close all of the Churches due to the rapid spread of the virus across Pennsylvania and the state-wide Stay at Home order issued by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf.

The faithful are invited to watch the televised Mass with Bishop Bartchak every Sunday at 11:00 a.m. on WATM ABC 23 and every Sunday at 9:00 p.m. on Atlantic Broadband channel 9. The liturgies are posted on the diocesan website and Facebook and Twitter social media platforms. Daily Mass from Prince of Peace Parish in Northern Cambria is streamed on the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown Facebook page. The daily Mass schedule is Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 8:00 a.m.; Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.; and Saturdays at 5:00 p.m. Holy Week resources are available on the diocesan website at

We understand that giving may be difficult during this time. For anyone that would like to give to the Church you may do so via the following way:

  • Drop the donation any time through the mail slot in the front of the Office. Up the brick steps to the right of the door.
  • Mail to 3 E Walnut Street, Lock Haven, PA 17745
  • Online at paypal.me/holyspiritlh

Due to the hardships of this time the Staff at Holy Spirit Parish have all accepted a reduction in hours or been laid off to help the Church. Mazzie is having the Office calls transferred to her at home and will respond in a timely matter.

If anyone is in need of Father Orr for anointing, confession, or any other reason please call the office – 570-748-4594 and Mazzie will get a message to him immediately.

Through our Faith we will all persevere. We are children of God, may His light shine on you.
