ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT – 40 HOURS

On Sunday, we have such little time to focus on our Lord as we receive Communion. He is presented in a brief: “The Body of Christ”. There is a quick: “Amen”. And we move on.

If we are lucky, we might perhaps catch a minute or two to silently pray. Isn’t there a lot more that you really need to share with Jesus in prayer? Wouldn’t it be preferable, if you could pause for even 5 minutes and gaze upon our Lord? This is what Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is about. Our parish in conjunction with St. Joseph in Renovo is preparing for 3 days of Eucharistic adoration and devotion. We will begin each day with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at the close of Mass. We will take turns keeping watch during the day. We will close each day with Vespers and Benediction.

The schedule for 40 Hour Devotions is:

·   Exposition after the 8:30 AM Mass on Monday, October 23rd at St. Agnes
